About the presenter 

 

Jolene Grenfell 

Jolene Grenfell is an experienced and dedicated Senior Compliance Officer at Sekretari (Pty) Ltd, where she has been an integral part of the team since 2015. She began her career at Sekretari as an Accounts Assistant, where she developed a strong foundation in financial administration and client service.

Over the years, Jolene has grown into a key role within the compliance department, taking on increasing responsibilities and demonstrating a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and statutory obligations. Her portfolio of expertise includes:

  • Serving as the POPI Compliance Officer, ensuring that client data and company practices align with the Protection of Personal Information Act.

  • Managing Annual Return Compliance, including the monitoring, preparation, and submission of annual returns to the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC).

  • Overseeing the conversion and lodgement of Annual Financial Statements (AFS) and Accountability Supplements, ensuring accurate and timely filings in accordance with legislative requirements.

  • Handling the lodgement and registration of amendments and new instructions with CIPC, including company name changes, directorship amendments, and other corporate statutory updates.
