Overview

The South African tax landscape is complex, dynamic and closely linked to macro-economic realities. The annual Budget Speech is a pivotal fiscal event in the tax legislative cycle, providing policy direction, outlining revenue-raising measures, and signalling government’s approach to economic growth, fiscal consolidation, and job creation.

For legal practitioners, understanding the implications of the Budget Speech extends beyond tax technicalities — it directly impacts advisory work, litigation strategy, compliance obligations, and client structuring decisions.

Join Adv Christel van Wyk on the 30th of March 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm as she unpacks the key tax proposals announced in the 2026 Budget Speech and provides practical insight into how these developments will affect your clients, your advisory responsibilities, and your professional risk exposure.
