How to draft a compliant Employment Contract

Presenters : Chantelle de Sousa

Overview

The Basic Conditions of Employment Act requires that an employer must supply an employee with written particulars of employment. Drafting a contract of employment seems simple enough. You can find one on the internet and hit “copy and paste”. However, laws chop and change and what is available on the internet might not be up to date, or not even legally applicable in South Africa. In this webinar, we will discuss the most important sections of a contract of employment in terms of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act. When to use fixed term and permanent contracts and the difference between employees and independent contractors.

Join Attorney Chantelle de Sousa  where she will equip you with the relevant information to draft a legally compliant contract of employment.  The Basic Conditions of Employment requires that an employer supply an employee with written particulars of employment
