Harassment has a detrimental impact on individuals and organisations alike

  • Understand the various forms of harassment in the workplace.
  • Examine the legal framework such as the Employment Equity Act and the Code of Good Practice on the Prevention and Elimination of Harassment in the Workplace pertaining to harassment in South Africa.
  • Identify strategies and best practices for preventing and addressing harassment incidents.
  • Provide guidance on reporting and handling harassment complaints to minimise organisational risk.
  • Encourage active participation and provide a platform for open dialogue and Q&A.

Content

The webinar will cover the following topics:

  • Understanding harassment as defined in the Employment Equity Act and the Code of Good Practice on the Prevention and Elimination of Harassment in the Workplace.
  • Examining the legal framework and the penalties imposed by the law.
  • Understanding the organisational risk should harassment not be addressed such as referrals to the CCMA and Labour Court.
