2ND ADJUSTMENTS APPROPRIATION BILL 2022/23: PUBLIC HEARINGS

In anticipation of hearings five days later, the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Appropriations has called for written submissions by 9 March 2023 on the Second Adjustments Appropriation Amendment Bill.

A second round of hearings on the Bill will be held on 15 March by the NCOP's Appropriation Committee, with the deadline for written submissions set at 13 March.

Tabled on 22 February 2023 with the 2023/24 Budget, the Bill makes more adjustments to appropriations allocated in the 2022/23 Budget to national departments; Parliament; the Government Communication & Information System; the National School of Government; the Public Service Commission; Statistics South Africa; the Civilian Secretariat for Police; the Independent Police Investigative Directorate; and the Office of the Chief Justice.

The Second Adjustments Appropriation Bill for 2022/23 follows an Adjustments Appropriation Bill tabled in October 2022 and since enacted.
