Between 1 May and 4 June, 11 Acts were added to the statute books:
- the Electoral Matters Amendment Act (among other things changing the formula for funding allocations to political parties represented in the National Assembly and provincial legislatures) (in force from 8 May 2024)
- the Second Adjustments Appropriation Act (adjusting allocations to national government departments and their entities for the 2023/24 financial year) (in force from 7 May 2024)
- the Prevention & Combating of Hate Crimes & Hate Speech Act (among other things criminalising certain types of hate speech) (not yet in force)
- the Divorce Amendment Act (recognising Muslim marriages and safeguarding the interests of women and children in those marriages when dissolved) (in force from 14 May 2024)
- the National Health Insurance (NHI) Act (establishing an NHI Fund and related structures) (not yet in force)
- the National Council on Gender Based Violence & Femicide Act (establishing the Council and related structures) (not yet in force)
- the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) Amendment Act (creating a permanent, independent Investigating Directorate Against Corruption in the NPA) (not yet in force)
- the Cannabis for Private Purposes Act (among other things regulating the cultivation, possession, and use of cannabis by adults in a private setting) (not yet in force)
- the Division of Revenue Act (equitably dividing revenue among the national, provincial and local spheres of government) (in force
- the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport Amendment Act (aligning the principal statue with the World Anti-Doping Agency code) (not yet in force), and
- the Revenue Laws Amendment Act (introducing the two pot retirement savings system) (in force from 1 September 2024)
