ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO COMMENT ON CHILDREN'S AMENDMENT BILL

In anticipation of a final round of parliamentary hearings, the NCOP Committee on Health & Social Services has called for input by 21 October on a 'B' version of the Children's Amendment Bill recently passed by the National Assembly. The Bill's overarching objective is to find a comprehensive legal solution to challenges experienced in the foster care system. This is in response to a Gauteng High Court (Pretoria) order handed down in 2020.
