ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING BILL TABLED IN PARLIAMENT

According to a National Treasury media statement on the recently tabled General Laws (Anti-Money Laundering & Combating Terrorism Financin) Amendment Bill, it seeks to address issues raised during a Financial Action Task Force (FATF) evaluation. If not rectified, the gaps in South Africa's legislation could result in a FATF grey-listing - negatively affecting foreign trade.
