Please note: On 22 May 2026 the National Assembly Committee on Appropriations issued a notice calling for written submissions on the same Bill, which must be passed by that House before being considered by the NCOP committee. National Assembly committee hearings are scheduled for 3 June 2026 – with NCOP committee hearings expected to take place a week later.
In anticipation of a final round of parliamentary hearings on the 2026/27 Appropriation Bill, the NCOP’s Appropriations Committee has issued a notice calling for written submissions by 8 June 2026.

Yet to be passed by the National Assembly, the Bill is still under consideration by the committee concerned. At the time of writing, briefings from various departments and entities were still under way.
Since an annual Appropriation Bill is rarely if ever changed by a parliamentary committee, the entire process appears to be something of a formality.
