BANKS ACT REGULATIONS: PRUDENTIAL AUTHORITY CALLS FOR INPUT ON TWO DRAFT DIRECTIVES

The Prudential Authority has called for input on two sets of regulatory proposals affecting banks, the branches of foreign banking institutions, their controlling companies, other eligible institutions and their auditors.

The intention of one set of proposals is to replace directives issued in 2015, 2018 and 2019 on ‘pillar 3’ disclosure requirements – also removing them from the regulations themselves. The deadline for comment has been set at 20 October 2023.

The other set of proposals seeks to give effect to all remaining components of Basel III post-financial crisis regulatory reforms. Released in draft form in September 2022 for comment, they have since been revised. The deadline for input has been set at 25 October 2023.
