BCEA: PENSION FUND CONTRIBUTIONS PAYMENT TIMEFRAME EXCLUSION TO BE WITHDRAWN?

The Department of Employment & Labour has gazetted a notice announcing its intention to withdraw an exclusion issued in December 2003 under the 1997 Basic Conditions of Employment Act, in terms of which employers and employees were excluded from obligations under section 34A regarding the timeframe within which benefit fund contributions should be paid.
The deadline for public comments is 17 September 2025.
