The spreadsheet to which a link is provided below reflects the status of Bills now before Parliament. With the National Assembly scheduled to go into recess on 5 December 2025 for a constituency period followed by the traditionally long festive season break, there has been some progress with certain pieces of legislation – most notably, Bills tabled with the Medium Term Budget Policy Statement.
No changes having been made to the Immigration Amendment Bill’s ‘B’ version by the NCOP committee concerned, it could well be passed before that House goes into recess on 9 December 2025 for constituency work and the festive season break. If so, the Bill will be sent to the President for assent.
Changes proposed by the NCOP to the Independent Municipal Demarcation Authority Bill have been endorsed by the National Assembly committee concerned. They are reflected in a ‘D’ version that may be passed by the House before it rises on 5 December 2025 – in which chase the Bill will be sent to the President for assent.
Please note that Bills listed in the spreadsheet can be accessed by clicking their titles.
