BORDER MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY ACT IN FORCE

Most sections of the Boarder Management Authority Act, 2020, are now in force. According to the presidential proclamation confirming this, the only sections still to be operationalised are those providing for the appointment of commissioners and deputy commissioners; various matters related to these appointments; the establishment of an inter-ministerial consultative committee, a technical committee and an advisory committee; and implementation protocols.
