BUDGET 2023: DRAFT RATES & MONETARY AMOUNTS & AMENDMENT OF REVENUE LAWS BILL PUBLISHED

National Treasury has published a draft Rates & Monetary Amounts & Amendment of Revenue Laws Bill for the 2023/24 financial year, reflecting adjustments and changes announced in the 2023 Budget to:
- the normal tax rate
- the transfer duty threshold
- custom and excise duties
- tariff and rebate items, and
- carbon tax.
The draft Bill is one of three pieces of draft legislation subjected to stakeholder consultation before being tabled in the National Assembly with the Medium Term Budget Policy Statement.
