CHILDREN’s AMENDMENT ACT GAZETTED FOR INFORMATION

The long-awaited Children’s Amendment Act, 2022, has been gazetted – but, unfortunately, has yet to be operationalised. Nevertheless, once in force it is expected to go some way towards providing a comprehensive legal solution to ongoing problems with South Africa’s foster care system. This in the context of a ruling handed down in 2017 by the Gauteng High Court (Pretoria).
