CITES-LISTED SPECIES: INPUT SOUGHT ON NON-DETRIMENT FINDINGS

The Department of Forestry, Fisheries & the Environment has gazetted South African National Biodiversity Institute findings on the impact of trade in local species listed under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna & Flora. In the case of some species, the findings include recommendations for improved management.

Referred to as ‘non-detriment findings’, they are now open for public comment – which should be submitted by 5 April 2024.
