COMPETITION COMMISSION: EXEMPTION APPLICATION RULE CHANGE

The Competition Commission has gazetted a notice in terms of which micro and small enterprises exemption filing fees have been waived with immediate effect.
This is noting that the exemption will apply only to micro and small enterprises falling under the 2019 definition of those terms.
In force since 6 July 2019 with the commencement of amendments to certain sections of the 2018 Competition Amendment Act, the definition:
- includes co-operatives, and
- prescribes the sector-specific criteria to be met.
