CONSUMER COMMISSION: JULY 2011 ENFORCEMENT GUIDELINES WITHDRAWN

National Consumer Commission enforcement guidelines in place since July 2011 have been unceremoneously withdrawn by notice in the Government Gazette.

Apparently, this follows ‘concerns raised in a number of proceedings before the National Consumer Tribunal relating to inconsistences between the … enforcement guideline(s) and (the 2008) Consumer Protection Act’.

Unfortunately, at the time of writing no further information was available.
