CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT UNDER REVIEW

A regulatory impact assessment conducted last year identified several implementation challenges, resulting in a review of the Consumer Protection Act, 2008. According to a briefing document presented at a recent meeting of the National Assembly's Trade & Industry Committee, consideration is being given to the preparation of an Amendment Bill.
