COURT RULES: INPUT SOUGHT ON FOUR SETS OF DRAFT AMENDMENTS

The Rules Board for Courts of Law has called for input by 21 February 2025 on four sets of proposals affecting:

• Magistrates’ Court rules (tariff provision reference to “prisoner’s friend”)
• Magistrates’ Court and uniform rules (security for the costs of an appeal)
• uniform rules (request for taxation of sheriffs’ account), and
• Small Claims Courts’ rules (reporting structure)
