DIVISION OF REVENUE AMENDMENT ACT, ADJUSTMENTS APPROPRIATION ACT GAZETTED

Two pieces of legislation accommodating changes to the state’s financial resources and requirements since mid-2023 have been gazetted and are now in force. They are:

  • the Division of Revenue Amendment Act, 2023 (which – informed by the difference between projected and actual revenue raised nationally – provides for the equitable allocation of funds to national, provincial and local government, amending the Division of Revenue Act in effect since 15 June 2023), and
  • the Adjustments Appropriation Act, 2023 (which – informed by the difference between projected and actual revenue raised nationally – provides for the financial requirements of national government departments and their entities, amending the Appropriation Act in effect since 5 July 2023).
