DTIC grants Day Hospital Association Competition Act exemption

Retrospectively effective from 12 April 2022 for five years, the exemption was originally scheduled to commence on I June 2022.
The Day Hospital Association and its members are now exempt from prohibited practice provisions in the Competition Act. Originally scheduled to take effect from 1 June 2022, the exemption is now deemed to have commenced on 12 April. This decison was made in the light of recent developments in the Western Cape High Court, on which Friday's Government Gazette notice does not elaborate.
