DUST CONTROL: DRAFT AMENDMENT REGULATIONS OUT FOR COMMENT

The Department of Forestry, Fisheries & the Environment has gazetted draft amendments to the dust control regulations. Once finalised and in force, the amended regulations will real and replace the November 2013 version. The deadline for input is 15 June 2025.
According to an accompanying notice, the proposed amendments seek to:
- ‘identify distinct activities’ to which the amended regulations will apply
- update existing dust fall collection and measurement testing standards, and
- improve dust management plan administrative requirements.
