The Department of Electricity & Energy has gazetted a draft revised electricity pricing policy – calling for input by 27 September 2026.
According to the document’s introductory section, the purpose of the revised pricing poliy is to ‘establish a coherent, transparent, and forward-looking pricing framework aligned with the restructured electricity sector’. To that end, the draft revised policy:
This is noting government’s ongoing commitment to facilitating equitable access to affordable electricity across all sectors of society.
