ELECTRONIC FUND TRANSFERS: GUIDANCE NOTE PUBLISHED

The Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) has published a guidance note on electronic fund transfers (EFTs). This follows the release of a draft guidance note in November 2022 for public comment. The input received is summarised in a feedback document published with the final guidance note and FIC communication.
The final guidance note is intended to assist accountable institutions in their efforts to comply with a July 2022 directive issued to ensure that all EFT processing is aligned with international Financial Action Task Force Recommendation 16 (wire transfers).
