EMPLOYMENT EQUITY AMENDMENT BILL TO BE ENACTED SOON & IN FORCE FROM SEPTEMBER 2023

The Department of Employment & Labour has issued a media statement outlining the process being followed in preparation for the Employment Equity Amendment Bill's enactment and commencement. Once in force, the Bill will empower the Employment & Labour Minister to set sector-specific employment equity targets; and make compliance a precondition for conducting business with the state.
