FILM & PUBLICATION BOARD GAZETTES ENFORCEMENT COMMITTEE RULES & COMPLAINT HANDLING PROCEDURES

The Film & Publication Board has gazetted rules for its enforcement committee, along with the procedures to be followed when dealing with complaints. They are immediately effective.
This follows the March 2022 commencement of the Films & Publications Amendment Act, 2019, providing for the establishment of an enforcement committee. Among other things, the amendment Act also introduced comprehensive content classification requirements and a raft of provisions intended to protect children from exposure to certain types of material offered online.
