FINANCIAL EDUCATION: DRAFT CONDUCT STANDARD OUT FOR COMMENT

The Financial Sector Conduct Authority has called for input by 15 May 2023 on a draft minimum standard for financial education initiatives. According to an accompanying communication, among other things this would require financial institutions to take ‘reasonable steps’ to:

  • ensure ‘appropriate standards of behaviour’
  • put in place ‘adequate governance and oversight arrangements when developing … content’, and
  • implement suitable monitoring, evaluation and reporting measures.
