FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE: GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION INFORMATION USER GUIDE PUBLISHED

The Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) has published a user guide on submitting the geographic location information required in terms of Directive 10, which was issued in July 2026 under the 2001 FIC Act.

According to an accompanying notice, when registering with the FIC an accountable institution with operations in more than one geographic location is required to provide the particulars of:

  • its head office
  • any branch offices
  • the head offices of any subsidiaries, and
  • all branches.

The user guide explains how this information should be submitted on the FIC’s registration and reporting platform.
