FINANCIAL SECTOR CYBERSECURITY AND CYBER RESILIENCE: DRAFT STANDARD OUT FOR COMMENT

The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) and Prudential Authority have called for input by 28 February 2023 on a revised draft joint standard, informed by input during consultations in 2021.

According to the FSCA communication announcing this, once finalised and in force the new standard will apply to the following institutions and service providers, as defined in the relevant legislation and/or related regulatory notices:

  • banks, insurers and their controlling companies
  • mutual banks
  • pension funds and their administrators
  • the managers of collective investment schemes
  • market infrastructure
  • discretionary, Category I and administrative financial service providers
  • over-the-counter derivative providers, and
  • credit rating agencies.
