FINANCIAL SECTOR & DEPOSIT INSURANCE LEVIES ACT: SCHEDULE 1 AMENDED

National Treasury has gazetted a substitute Table A for Schedule 1 to the 2022 Financial Sector & Deposit Insurance Levies Act – thus amending the original table.
This is noting that the Act has been in force since 2023, with Schedule 1 applying to entities supervised by the Prudential Authority. These are:
- banks and their branches
- co-operative banks
- mutual banks
- non-life and life insurers
- Lloyds
- microinsurers
- exchanges
- central securities depositories
- independent and associated clearing houses
- central and external central counterparties
- trade and external trade repositories
- over-the-counter derivative providers, and
- the Road Accident Fund.
