FIVE-YEAR REVIEW 2024 PUBLISHED

Possibly in anticipation of this year’s State of the Nation Address on 8 February 2024, the Presidency has published a five-year review of work done by South Africa’s sixth post-1994 administration to:

  • address the country’s ‘immediate challenges’, and
  • lay the foundations for ‘sustainable, inclusive growth and job creation’.

The document provides ‘an overview of … progress made over the last five years’ in the following areas:

  • ‘growing the economy and jobs’
  • ‘fighting corruption’
  • ‘building better lives’
  • ‘making communities safer, and
  • ‘investing in infrastructure’.
