GAMBLING ACT REGULATIONS: INPUT SOUGHT ON DRAFT AMENDMENTS

The Department of Trade, Industry & Competition has gazetted and called for public comments on proposals for a third set of amendments to the 2004 National Gambling Act regulations. The deadline for input is 6 March 2026.

Once finalised and in force, the draft amendments will affect:

  • requirements to be met and procedures followed when registering a person to be prevented/excluded from participation in gambling activities, and
  • the registration, certification and exemption of machines and devices.
