INTERIM REPORT ON RATIONALISING THE COURT SYSTEM RELEASED FOR COMMENT

The Department of Justice & Constitutional Development has published an interim report on rationalising the high courts and other judicial establishments - with a call for public comments by 31 January 2023.The report was prepared by a committee established to resolve the challenges associated with aligning the judicial system with the requirements of the Constitution.
These include 'giving full effect to the right of access to justice as well as the rights and foundational values of dignity and equality'.
