The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) gazetted a notice on 2 February 2024 calling for input within 14 days on proposed amendments to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange equities rules for dealings in Krugerrands. The draft amendments themselves were eventually posted on the FSCA website three days later.

According to a memorandum on the amendments envisaged, their purpose is to:

  • acknowledge technological advancements impacting on delivery slip production and printing, and to update buyer payment methods.
