JUSTICE & CORRECTIONAL SERVICES MINISTER WELCOMES CONCOURT JUDGMENT ON LEGAL PRACTICE ACT

The Ministry has issued a media statement welcoming the judgment, which deals with the admission and authorisation of foreigners who are not permanent residents in South Africa for enrolment as non-practising legal practitioners. According to the statement, the judgment 'affirms that section 24 (2) of the Legal Practice Act is a legitimate and a rationale way of regulating entry into the legal profession'.
