LAW COURTS: MORE RULES AMENDMENTS GAZETTED

The Department of Justice & Constitutional Development has gazetted amendments to rules regulating proceedings in the Magistrates’ Courts and High Courts (local and provincial divisions). Effective from 15 September 2025, among other things the amendments affect:
- fees and tariffs (Magistrates’ and High Courts)
- class actions (High Courts), and
- the role and obligations of a taxing master (High Courts).
