LEGAL PRACTICE COUNCIL PROPOSES MORE RULE CHANGES

The Legal Practice Council has called for input by 10 June 2024 of proposed amendments to three rules.
Gazetted towards the end of the afternoon on Saturday, 11 May 2024 but backdated to the previous day, once finalised and in force the amendments will affect:
- legal practice in conveyancing, notary and patent work (draft amendment)
- the code of conduct as it applies to legal practice in conveyancing, notary and patent work (draft amendment), and
- pre-Fidelity Fund certificate issuance requirements (draft amendment)
