MAGISTRATES' BENEFITS AFTER LEAVING OFFICE WITH UNRESOLVED CASES

The Department of Justice & Constitutional Development has gazetted a notice on benefits due when vacating the office of a magistrate and disposing of cases still in progress. These benefits apply only to magistrates not subsequently appointed as judges – and only during the period taken to dispose of such cases.
