MANAGING SARS-CoV-2 EXPOSURE IN THE WORKPLACE: CORRECTION NOTICE

The Department of Employment & Labour has republished its June 2022 code of practice for managing SARS-CoV-2 workplace exposure – with one amendment. The revised code now refers to regulations on hazardous biological agents in force since 16 March 2022. This is confirmed in the accompanying Government Gazette notice.
The code of practice has been published three times. Its February 2022 version was set aside and withdrawn following a National Employers Association of South Africa (NEASA) challenge. The June version omitted to mention the hazardous biological agents regulations and has therefore been replaced.
