MONEY LAUNDERING & TERRORISM FINANCING: SUBMISSIONS SOUGHT ON LATEST AMENDMENT BILL

In anticipation of parliamentary hearings on 11 August 2026, the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Finance has issued a notice calling for written submissions on a General Laws (Anti-Money Laundering & Combating Terrorism Financing) Amendment Bill tabled in Parliament in May 2026. The deadline for input is 10 August 2026.

With the next international Financial Action Task Force (FATF) review in mind, the Bill’s overarching objective is to address ‘outstanding deficiencies’ identified during the 2023 FATF grey listing and subsequent follow-up process.
