NATIONAL FORESTS ACT: REVISED DRAFT APPEALS PROCESS REGULATIONS GAZETTED FOR COMMENT

The Department of Forestry, Fisheries & the Environment has called for input by 26 November 2023 on revised draft amendments to regulations under the National Forests Act, 1998, dealing with the processing of appeals and related timeframes.
First released in March 2023 for public comment, the original draft amendments have been changed to reflect some of the input received.
This is noting that the National Forests Amendment Act, 2022, provides for the right to appeal and related processes but has yet to come into effect.
