NATIONAL ROAD TRAFFIC ACT: HEIGHT RESTRICTION REGULATION EXEMPTION GAZETTED

The Department of Transport has gazetted a notice exempting motor vehicles carrying intermodal shipping containers from complying with height restrictions under National Road Traffic Act Regulation 224(b). The exemption notice was published on 1 April 2023 and backdated.
Regulation 224(b) imposes a height cap of 4.3 metres on motor vehicles using public roads (with or without loads),
