NON-PROFIT ORGANISATIONS: DRAFT AMENDMENT BILL ON HOLD?

Calls for public comment on a draft Non-profit Organisation Amendment Bill have been withdrawn by notice in the Government Gazette. They were made in October 2021 and May 2022.
Apparently, sections of the principal statute requiring amendment have been dealt with under the General Laws (Anti Money Laundering & Combatting Terrorism Financing) Amendment Act, 2022. Sections of this Act affecting non-profit organisations have been in force since December 2022.
The notice makes no reference to proposals in the draft Bill intended to establish an arbitration tribunal for dispute resolution, and to appoint a registrar of non-profit organisations.
