ONLINE INTERMEDIATION PLATFORM INQUIRY: INPUT SOUGHT ON DRAFT GUIDELINES

The Competition Commission has issued a media statement calling for input by 28 February 2023 on draft guidelines intended to ‘prohibit certain conduct’ by ‘emerging leading platforms’. While such conduct may not have occurred yet, it ‘may occur in the future’.
This is noting:
- a recently gazetted two-month extension to the deadline for completing the inquiry, and
- submissions on recommendations in its provisional report.
With that in mind, interested and affected parties are referred to the following documents:
- the provisional report
- non-confidential comments on the report
- the deadline extension notice
- media statement calling for input on the draft guidelines
- draft guidelines
