POLITICAL PARTY FUNDING: REGULATORY AMENDMENTS GAZETTED

Substantive amendments to regulations under the 2018 Political Party Funding Act have been gazetted and are now in force. Released in draft form in October 2024 for public comment, among other things the amendments:
- prescribe the obligations to be met by:
- the accounting officers of all registered political parties, as well as
- independent representatives and candidates
- specify the penalties to be imposed for non-compliance, and
- prescribe the procedures to be followed when lodging a complaint.
