PROJECT AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT: DRAFT RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING REQUIREMENTS

The South African Council for the Project & Construction Management Professions has gazetted a document proposing a process to be followed and rules adhered to when the prior learning of a prospective registrant is cited for recognition in the context of certain registration requirements. The deadline for comments from interested and affected parties is 28 February 2024.

According to the document’s introductory section, it is envisaged that the recognition of prior learning process would entail determining if a prospective registrant’s prior learning meets prescribed competency requirements. Those who are successful would then follow the normal registration application process.

Input is sought within the same timeframe on draft registration rules.
