PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS: TREASURY PROPOSES REGULATORY AMENDMENTS

Please note: 1) National Treasury has issued a media statement explaining the draft regulations gazetted on 19 February 2024 for comment 2) On 22 March 2024, National Treasury issued a media statement extending the deadline for input on each set of proposed regulatory amendments to 15 April 2024.
National Treasury has gazetted separate notices calling for input by 20 March 2024 on proposed amendments to provisions in two sets of regulations dealing with public-private partnerships.
In that context, among other things the amendments envisaged seek to address issues relating to procurement procedures.
