REVENUE LAWS AMENDMENT BILL: NCOP COMMITTEE CALLS FOR SUBMISSIONS

In anticipation of a final round of parliamentary hearings on the Revenue Laws Amendment Bill, the NCOP’s Finance Committee has called for written submissions by 5 September 2025.
Released in draft form in December 2024 for public comment and tabled in March 2025, the Bill seeks to provide clarity to retirement fund members and administrators on the timing aspect of seeding amount calculations conducted in anticipation of the two-pot retirement savings system’s implementation on 1 September 2024.
Passed by the National Assembly in July 2025, the Bill is the only piece of legislation tabled with the 2025/26 Budget yet to be finalised and sent to the President for signature.
