RULES BOARD FOR COURTS OF LAW: DISCOVERY OF DOCUMENTS RULES REVIEW

The Rules Board for Courts of Law is reviewing and evaluating Uniform Rule 35 and Magistrates’ Courts Rule 23, which together deal with the discovery, inspection and production of documents. With that in mind, input is sought by 30 August 2024 on various issues – including ‘the impact of the current rules for discovery on litigation costs and how these costs may be reduced to facilitate access to justice’.
